'Boeing has a long history of working cooperatively with universities to mutual advantage. Successful industries, professions and government agencies will increasingly work closely with universities. This collaboration will help ensure a supply of educated and experienced graduates, on-going education for staff and research outcomes that, through joint activities, offer direct application to organisational growth. Universities offer us the next generation of workers as well as leaders. Too often, industry chooses to place them to one side without realising their potential. We should never underestimate the benefits a university provides to this city, the state and the nation.

'Boeing Australia has been working with QUT since we began operation in Brisbane. QUT, due to the relevance of its programs, has been recognised within the Boeing company as a “Boeing International Focus School”. As such, we have collaborated on projects, provided sponsorship, and Boeing Australia staff have taught as part of the avionics program at QUT. Boeing Australia is also a major employer of QUT graduates.'
