We are pleased to announce that $5,600 was raised this year. This amount when matched dollar-for dollar by QUT is $11,200 and will be contributed to the Learning Potential Fund. We are grateful for all the assistance from the senior staff including the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Registrar and Executive Director for stepping behind the counter to help serve the coffees at Bar Merlo and Beadles.
Congratulations to QUT staff member, Sheona Thomson, for winning a Breville coffee machine in the lucky draw! The correct answer is 4341 bursaries and scholarship distributed to date.
The Learning Potential Fund is one of QUT's top priority areas and provides bursaries and scholarships to support QUT's disadvantaged students. We truly appreciate all the cafes, staff, students and alumni at QUT for supporting this initiative. Thank-you to our participating cafes Bar Merlo, Dusk, Beadles and Student Guild Bar. Special mention to Blue Lotus cafe for making a $500 donation in lieu of participating in the Coffee Week.
