The QUT Development Office welcomes the opportunity to discuss with you your plans for a bequest.

Some important steps when considering your gift:

  1. QUT recommends you consult your legal or other professional counsel in drawing up your Will, including the provision you make within your Will for QUT and any tax implications for your estate arising from the form of your gift (cash or assets).
  2. The University recommends that you discuss with family members, and others affected by your decision, your choice to make a bequest to QUT.
  3. 'Will Wording', the recommended form of words for bequests to the University, can be downloaded in word format here.
  4. Confirming your gift in writing to the Development Office will offer you an opportunity to be invited to join the 1849 Society, exclusively for those individuals who have advised QUT that they have included a bequest to the University in their Will. Through the 1849 Society, QUT benefactors remain informed of activities and developments at the University. Benefactors are also kept up to date on their particular areas of interest.

By remaining involved with QUT, benefactors know that their bequest is indeed highly valued by the University and will help to make a difference to the world in which we live.

If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity to support the University, please contact the Development Office on 07 3138 1657 or email development@qut.edu.au
